Respect the Range - DIO/MOD x Mike Tindall

Location: Salisbury Plain
Sector: Government, Military
Content: hero edit, social teasers, stills
Services: project lead, creative development & storyboarding, filming, drone, editing, motion graphics, stills

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO, part of the MOD) were running an Easter awareness campaign ‘Respect the Range’ to highlight the dangers posed to the public and military of dual-purpose land such as Salisbury Plain.

Mike Tindall, ex-England Rugby Captain and I’m a Celeb contestant was brought in by The Room to front the campaign and amplify it’s reach. Mike spent the day driving around Salisbury Plain on Warrior vehicle, experiencing what the Military face as well as talking to them about their experiences.

We were brought on board by The Room and worked alongside creative PR agency 23red, who were overseeing the campaign to produce all the video content and stills that formed the main body of content.

At least 3 months in the planning; recces, creative development, detailed logistics all led to an intense days filming in Salisbury. Highly challenging with multiple vehicles, crews (aerial and ground) and personnel to co-ordinate it all together. We’re delighted with the end result.

The campaign made it into The Mail Online here and The Daily Express online as well as Mike’s channels and other publications.

“We worked closely with Creative Agency 23 Red and LDR Media to help bring our vision to life. Their industry knowledge and expertise proved invaluable to making the most of this opportunity and ensuring a high-quality finished product.”
